Whenever he critiqued a contestant, sections of the crowd erupted into boos, with some even shouting, “You old fart!” While the situation provided amusement at the moment, 

it posed a significant challenge for the production crew, who later had to carefully edit the footage to remove inappropriate comments.

A source revealed that the editing process has been particularly difficult this year due to the sheer volume of interruptions from the audience. Since the show must maintain a certain level of professionalism, any insults or overly rowdy behavior had to be carefully cut out.

Cowell Takes It in Stride

Despite the unexpected jeering, Cowell appeared to take it all in good humor. Known for his thick skin and sharp wit, the judge reportedly laughed off the comments, even finding the situation entertaining. An insider shared, “Simon isn’t vain in that way and found the heckling absolutely hilarious—even when they were calling him an old fart.”
