As Stacey and the family sorted through years’ worth of accumulated belongings, they were faced with an overwhelming volume of items, including 53 toolboxes, 239 scarves, and an astonishing 619 pieces of wood. Lynda, aware of her limited time, revealed her hopes of creating a more organized and peaceful space for her family. “I’ve actually started one myself,” Lynda confided to Stacey. “Unfortunately, ever since I realized at some point I won’t be here anymore… So this is a box I bought before, and then I’ve just been adding to it.”

Lynda further explained how she had been jotting down thoughts and advice for Charlotte in a notebook, ensuring that she could be there for her daughter during life’s biggest milestones, even if only in spirit.

“I’ve also got a notebook with random thoughts that have come into my head,” Lynda shared. “Things I’d probably say to her when she’s a teenager, when she’s older, things like that. My aim is to do something for her wedding day or if she ever has children. If I was there, this is what I’d be thinking for you.”

The powerful moment was too much for Stacey to bear, as the reality of Lynda’s situation hit her deeply.
