In December 2024, Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of NBC’s “Today” show, announced the forthcoming release of her new children’s book, 

*Mostly What God Does Is Love You*, scheduled for publication in February 2025. 

This work is a continuation of her earlier publication, *Mostly What God Does: Reflections on Seeking and Finding His Love Everywhere*, 

and aims to introduce young readers to themes of faith and love. 

Guthrie shared her excitement about the project during a segment on the “Today” show, stating, “I am really excited, you guys. 

You may remember earlier this year I released a book, it was called *Mostly What God Does*, there were essays about the power of faith in our lives. 

Well now we’re going to have a picture book for the little ones.” She emphasized that the book is “filled with illustrations that showcase the wonders of nature and how God adores us.” 

This announcement comes amid significant changes within the “Today” show lineup. In September 2024, Hoda Kotb, Guthrie’s longtime co-anchor, revealed her decision to leave the program to spend more time with her family. Following Kotb’s departure, Craig Melvin was appointed as Guthrie’s new co-anchor in January 2025. Reflecting on these transitions, Guthrie expressed mixed emotions, stating, “It’s complicated because it’s, like, I’m so happy for her and I’m so proud of her as her friend because she’s following her heart… As her partner in the morning, I’ll miss her.” 

Despite these changes, Guthrie remains a central figure on the “Today” show and continues to expand her professional endeavors. Her latest literary work reflects her commitment to sharing messages of faith and love with a broader audience, particularly children.
