Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh has shared insights into her personal life, reflecting on love, parenthood, and the challenges of balancing both.
The television presenter, who has largely kept her romantic relationships private,
has now spoken about meeting someone new and how her approach to relationships has evolved over time.
Finding Love Again After Heartbreak
Ranvir, 46, previously separated from her former partner, Ranjeet Singh Dehal, not long after the birth of their son, Tushaan, who is now 12 years old.
Since then, she has embraced life as a single mother, focusing on her career and raising her son.
However, in recent years, she has found love again with Louis Church, a TV production manager.
The couple’s relationship began in 2020, and despite their significant age gap—Louis is nearly two decades younger—Ranvir has never placed much importance on it. Instead, she has focused on how a new relationship affects both her and her son.
Speaking about her love life in an interview with OK! Magazine, Ranvir shared how navigating romance as a single parent comes with added layers of consideration. She explained, “I think you get to a point where you have the sort of life you thought you might have, but not everything has gone to plan. It never does for anybody, and you think, ‘Well, what’s the next tranche? What’s the next part of the story that I’m going to tell about me?’”
Cautious Steps in a New Relationship
Ranvir has been candid about the cautious approach she takes when it comes to introducing a new partner into her life, especially as a mother. She understands that when children are involved, dating isn’t just about personal emotions—there’s a bigger picture to consider.
“I think anybody who’s been in the position I’ve been in plays it very cautiously,” she admitted. “It really isn’t just about you and your feelings. We can throw caution to the wind for ourselves, but when we have children, our foot is always hovering over the brake pad because you think, ‘Hang on a minute, this isn’t just about me.’”
She emphasized that timing is crucial when blending a new partner into her family dynamic. She doesn’t want to take away from her time with her son, which has been her top priority since becoming a single mother. “I don’t want to dilute my time with my son. All those anxieties are really universal. Caution is the byword for anybody in my position. I think you take a lot longer to choose to integrate. It’s a much, much bigger and weightier decision than when it’s just you, for sure.”
Love as a Journey, Not Just a Destination
While discussing her outlook on love, Ranvir described falling in love as an act of bravery. For her, love is about more than just emotion—it’s about commitment and growth. “Falling in love is a very brave decision, and to do it well is a lifelong journey,” she reflected.
She recognizes that relationships require effort, patience, and trust, particularly when life has already presented unexpected twists and turns. Her perspective highlights the reality of modern relationships, where people navigate new chapters while carrying the experiences of their past.
A Special Bond with Her Son
As much as her romantic life has drawn attention, Ranvir’s deepest and most enduring relationship remains with her son, Tushaan. She has spoken openly about their incredibly close bond, shaped by the fact that it has often just been the two of them.
During an appearance on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast, Ranvir shared how being a single mother has created a unique dynamic in her household. “There’s no hiding place because there’s only ever been the two of us. In my ups and downs, I’ve never had that thing of saying, ‘OK, off to bed,’ and then you go and cry to a partner because it’s just been us.”
This honesty has strengthened their connection, though Ranvir acknowledges the need to give Tushaan space to grow into his own person. She recognizes that as he enters his teenage years, he is developing his own sense of independence.
“So there’s a sort of raw, open honesty to our relationship, and because of that, there’s an incredible and unique closeness,” she explained. “My whole world is wrapped up in him, but I am trying to release him a little bit because he’s 12, and there’s an independent streak, and I know that he’s not mine to keep.”
Embracing the Future
Ranvir’s journey in love and motherhood is one of careful balance, deep reflection, and courage. She has learned to navigate relationships with caution, prioritizing her son while still allowing herself the possibility of happiness.
Her story resonates with many who have found themselves rebuilding their lives after unexpected changes. Whether in love, parenting, or career, Ranvir continues to embrace new opportunities while staying true to her values.
With her son growing up and her relationship with Louis Church continuing to flourish, Ranvir Singh is proving that love and happiness can take many forms—and that sometimes, the best chapters of life are the ones yet to come.
