Gordon Ramsay and Gino D’Acampo were once close friends and frequent collaborators, known for their on-screen chemistry in Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip. 

However, their relationship appears to have soured dramatically, with Ramsay distancing himself from D’Acampo amid allegations of inappropriate workplace behavior. 

While their friendship initially showed cracks years ago—partially due to their children’s short-lived romance—recent developments 

have seemingly driven an irreparable wedge between the two celebrity chefs.

A ‘Nightmare’ Romance Sparks Tension

Back in 2019, Ramsay’s daughter, Tilly, and D’Acampo’s son, Luciano, both 17 at the time, made headlines 

when they began dating after meeting on the set of their fathers’ ITV food show. While Tilly appeared to enjoy the budding relationship, her father was far from thrilled.

Ramsay openly expressed his discomfort, even jokingly branding the situation a “f**king nightmare” during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show. He attempted to downplay the romance, insisting they were “just friends”, but host Jonathan Ross quipped otherwise, prompting laughter from the audience.

D’Acampo, on the other hand, took a much more relaxed approach, praising Tilly on This Morning. “Tilly is beautiful,” he said. “They’ve known each other for a few years now… But what a great pleasure knowing my son is dating Gordon’s daughter, just to really annoy him.”

The romance caught Ramsay off guard again during a FaceTime call that aired on Gordon, Gino & Fred: American Road Trip. While traveling with D’Acampo and co-host Fred Sirieix, Ramsay called Luciano, only to discover he was out on a date—with Tilly. When Luciano panned the camera to show Tilly sitting across from him, she cheerfully greeted her father with a “Hey, Dad!” Ramsay, clearly unimpressed, asked, “Tilly, what are you doing, Matilda!?” to which she cheekily replied, “Oh sorry, I must have forgot!”

While the relationship between their children didn’t last, the dynamic between Ramsay and D’Acampo continued to shift in the years that followed.

Cracks in Their Friendship

Despite any personal tension, the two chefs continued working together on Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip, traveling across Europe for the popular ITV series. However, in 2023, D’Acampo announced his departure from the show, citing “contract complications”. At the time, he insisted his decision had nothing to do with Ramsay or Sirieix, saying, “The friendship is very strong.”

However, Ramsay later made remarks suggesting frustration with his co-stars, calling them “lazy” and saying they made him “look good” by comparison. Speaking on Spencer Matthews’ Big Fish podcast, Ramsay joked, “An hour in, Gino wants an espresso, or he wants his eyebrows plucked. Ninety minutes in, Fred’s missing his croissant and his eyeliner.”

Further tension arose when D’Acampo was caught carrying cannabis while traveling on Ramsay’s private jet in November 2022. Sniffer dogs at Farnborough Airport identified the substance in D’Acampo’s luggage upon their return from Spain, where they had been filming. According to sources, Ramsay and Sirieix were furious, particularly as Ramsay has always been outspoken about his anti-drug stance. While D’Acampo reportedly explained the incident away as using the substance for back pain, the situation allegedly strained their relationship even further.

Gordon Ramsay Distances Himself Amid Allegations Against D’Acampo

Now, the rift between the two appears even deeper following serious allegations against D’Acampo. The Italian chef is facing accusations of inappropriate and intimidating behavior spanning a 12-year period. According to reports, multiple individuals have come forward with claims, describing his actions as “distressing,” “unacceptable,” and even “horrendous.”

Although D’Acampo has firmly denied the allegations, calling them “deeply upsetting,” Ramsay has remained silent on the matter. Notably, it was Ramsay himself who reportedly raised concerns about D’Acampo’s behavior two years ago, which played a role in the demise of their show and, ultimately, their friendship.

With Ramsay seemingly cutting ties and their once-strong camaraderie now fractured, what was once a powerhouse TV partnership has become yet another casualty of personal and professional conflicts in the entertainment industry.
