Fred Sirieix has reportedly shown public support for his long-time friend and former co-star Gino D’Acampo, who is currently facing allegations of inappropriate behavior. 

The Italian celebrity chef, 48, is at the center of claims made by dozens of individuals, spanning over 12 years, 

describing his alleged conduct as “distressing,” “unacceptable,” and even “horrendous”—allegations that he has firmly denied.

According to The Mirror, Sirieix, 53, appeared to endorse D’Acampo by liking his latest Instagram post on Sunday. 

The post, which showcased Gino meeting fans and promoting his cookbook at an Asda store, initially included the French chef’s interaction 

but has since been altered, with his like no longer appearing.

Sirieix’s representatives have yet to comment on the situation. Meanwhile, ITV has come under increasing scrutiny following the allegations against D’Acampo, with pressure mounting for the network to sever ties with the chef.

A Public Outing Before the Scandal Unfolded

Just 24 hours before news of the allegations and his reported departure from ITV broke, D’Acampo was seen enjoying an evening out with his wife, Jessica Stellina Morrison, and co-star Fred Sirieix. The couple, who share three children—Luciano, 22, Rocco, 19, and Mia, 12—appeared carefree during the outing, laughing alongside Fred.

In a now-deleted Instagram clip from the event, Gino playfully joked that his wife had “chosen the wrong foreigner” as she walked hand-in-hand with Fred. However, the lighthearted atmosphere soon gave way to serious allegations that have cast a shadow over D’Acampo’s career.

Gordon Ramsay Remains Silent

While Sirieix has subtly shown support for his friend, their former Gordon, Gino & Fred: Road Trip co-star, Gordon Ramsay, 58, has remained noticeably silent throughout the controversy. The three chefs had been known for their close camaraderie, traveling across Europe for their hit ITV series.

However, tensions between D’Acampo and ITV had been brewing long before these allegations surfaced. It is believed that the Italian chef’s exit from Gordon, Gino & Fred: Road Trip was due to his refusal to sign a morality clause, which would have allowed the network to terminate his contract if his behavior was deemed problematic.

D’Acampo officially announced his departure from the show in 2023, citing “contract complications.” At the time, he insisted that his decision had nothing to do with his friendship with Ramsay or Sirieix, stating, “I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I would rather the friendship than arguments with the contract.”

Despite his assurances, reports later emerged that his departure was linked to various demands he made, including a more flexible filming schedule and fewer early-morning starts. An ITV insider claimed that these requests were impractical given the trio’s busy schedules, and ultimately led to Gino’s exit from the show.

D’Acampo, known for his larger-than-life personality, has been accused of inappropriate and aggressive behavior on multiple sets, including Gino’s Italian Express, Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip, and Emission Impossible. An investigation by ITV News uncovered “dozens” of allegations, with individuals describing his conduct as unacceptable and distressing.

One former colleague claimed that in 2019, D’Acampo aggressively confronted a young crew member over an ice cream, highlighting his alleged volatile nature. Women’s advocacy groups have strongly condemned the accusations, urging ITV to take decisive action.

Jemima Olchawski, CEO of the Fawcett Society, labeled the claims as “shocking,” stating that such behavior “should have no place in our society.” Dr. Charlotte Proudman, founder of Right to Equality, criticized ITV for continuing to stream D’Acampo’s shows on ITVX, arguing that “commercial interests should not outweigh accountability.”

ITV Faces Pressure Over D’Acampo’s Shows

Despite altering its television schedule to remove D’Acampo from broadcasts for the next ten days, ITV has yet to pull his shows from its streaming service. This decision has sparked backlash, with critics accusing the network of prioritizing financial gains over accountability.

According to ITV’s statement, many of the allegations against D’Acampo were never formally reported at the time. However, the network acknowledged that complaints had been made and that “action had been taken” when concerns were raised.

Meanwhile, victims of the alleged misconduct have accused production companies of “furiously protecting” D’Acampo to avoid financial losses.

D’Acampo Denies the Allegations

Amid the controversy, D’Acampo has strongly denied all accusations against him, calling them “deeply upsetting” and insisting that such behavior is “simply not in my nature.” The Italian chef’s reputation, built on his cheeky and flamboyant personality, now faces serious challenges as the allegations continue to unfold.
