Danny Dyer, the 47-year-old English actor known for his role in *EastEnders*, has opened up about a health issue he’s been dealing with 

and revealed plans to undergo surgery on his testicles. 

During the latest episode of his *Live and Let Dyers* podcast, 

which he co-hosts with his daughter Dani, Danny discussed his upcoming procedure to address a hydrocele, affectionately referring to it as his “big nut.”

A hydrocele is a condition in which fluid accumulates around the testicles, causing swelling in the scrotum. 

For Danny, the swelling had become significant enough to prompt the decision to go under the knife. 

He jokingly described the situation as needing a “reduction on my winkle” due to the size of his testicles. Dani, ever the voice of reason, quickly corrected her father, clarifying that it was indeed his “big nut” that needed attention. 

Danny explained that his condition is hereditary and that his father had gone through a similar surgery in the past. According to Danny, his dad was the one who had been urging him to get the procedure done, sharing his own experience and convincing his son to address the issue. “He’s always been on my case, my dad,” Danny shared. “Like, ‘Listen, you’ve got to get that b****** done, it ain’t right.’ You know… ‘God didn’t make you that way.’”

The actor went on to reveal that his father’s perspective shifted after he underwent the surgery himself. While initially pushing Danny to get the procedure, his dad later changed his tune, telling him, “Don’t get it done, don’t get it done! I can’t sit down!” Danny added humorously, “It was a conflicting message!”

Despite his father’s warning, Danny appears ready to proceed with the surgery. He acknowledged that while the procedure is something he will “get done eventually,” he is determined to have it sorted sooner rather than later. It seems that Danny is committed to getting his “big nut” taken care of and moving forward with the necessary treatment.

Danny’s candid admission about his health concerns comes after a fiery exchange on the *A League Of Their Own* show, where he caused a stir with his reaction to a gift he received from a fellow panelist. During an episode of the popular show, Danny was presented with a signed football shirt by Arsenal midfielder Jorginho. The shirt, which was meant for both Danny, a West Ham United fan, and fellow guest Rob Beckett, who supports Arsenal, sparked an amusing response from the actor. 

When handed the gift, Danny was less than thrilled. The audience laughed as Danny quipped, “Is that worth a few quid?” before dismissing the shirt altogether. When the hosts encouraged him to wear the shirt, Danny humorously but firmly shot back, “F*** off!” His blunt refusal, particularly in light of his passionate loyalty to West Ham, had the audience in stitches. Danny, known for his no-nonsense attitude, wasn’t shy about voicing his dislike for the Arsenal gift.
