Maura Higgins and Pete Wicks have called it quits after a dramatic breakup, sparked by Maura’s discovery of Pete’s messages with other women. 

The 34-year-old former Love Island star, who had been in a relationship 

with the 37-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star for several months, felt betrayed after suspecting Pete of being unfaithful.

According to sources, Maura had been suspicious for some time about Pete’s behavior and their relationship had been strained due to trust issues. 

The final straw came when she discovered multiple messages from other women on Pete’s phone. 

Even though it’s unclear whether the messages were innocent or flirtatious, Maura felt that the breach of trust was too significant to overlook.

A source close to the couple shared, “Maura had always been wary of Pete and felt he might have been playing her. 

There had been several rows about trust, and when she found the messages, she knew it was over. Even if they were harmless, it wasn’t something she could get past. She just couldn’t trust him anymore.”

Despite the emotional fallout, Maura has remained composed about the breakup. The source added, “She isn’t going to bad-mouth Pete publicly after everything. Maura is focused on moving forward and doesn’t want to dwell on the past.” It’s clear that Maura, who has been through several public relationships, is determined not to let this setback define her.
