Pete Wicks made an early exit from a BRIT Awards afterparty following an uncomfortable run-in with his ex-girlfriend, Maura Higgins. 

The former couple, who ended their relationship earlier this year, reportedly went out of their way to avoid each other at the event.

A Tense Encounter on the Red Carpet

Pete and Maura, who briefly dated last year, were both in attendance at the BRITs and later found themselves at the same exclusive afterparty hosted by Universal Music. 

However, rather than interacting, they kept their distance throughout the evening. 

Their split, which reportedly happened on Valentine’s Day, was said to have been caused by tensions over Pete’s close friendship with Olivia Attwood, his co-host on a new radio show.

A source revealed that while Maura has no issue with Olivia, their dynamic may have contributed to the breakup. 

“As far as Maura’s concerned, she doesn’t have any problems with Olivia and would always be polite if they crossed paths. Any rumors of a feud or competitiveness between them have always confused her.”

Pete and Maura Kept Their Distance

Despite being at the same event, Pete and Maura remained separate throughout the night. According to reports, Pete only made a brief appearance at the party before deciding to leave early, sticking close to Olivia the entire time.

An insider shared, “Pete and Maura were both at the afterparty but did not interact. Pete was only there for a short while, while Maura stayed out until around 2 a.m., having a great time with her I’m A Celebrity pals Danny Jones and Oti Mabuse, as well as TikTok star Luke Hamnett.”

While Maura appeared to be enjoying herself, Pete kept a low profile and reportedly left with Olivia and their podcast co-host Sam Thompson. The trio were seen getting into a taxi together, avoiding any further awkward encounters.
