MAX George disgusted his followers by sharing a post-surgery image of his body after undergoing his second heart operation: I could even see the mucus there…

Max George has once again updated fans on his health journey, sharing a shocking image from his most recent heart surgery.

The Wanted singer, 36, revealed that he had to undergo an unexpected second operation after complications arose from his pacemaker procedure.

Just a day earlier, he had spoken exclusively to The Sun about the additional surgery,

explaining that his pacemaker wires had been inserted too deeply, necessitating a corrective procedure.

Health Scare That Led to Emergency Surgery

Max’s health struggles first became public in December when he was rushed to A&E after experiencing alarming symptoms that left him fearing for his life.

Initially, he underwent a procedure to have a pacemaker fitted to regulate his heart, but in recent weeks, he started experiencing further complications that required urgent medical attention.

In his latest update, the singer shared a photo of his stitched-up chest following his second surgery. The image revealed the painful wound left behind after doctors corrected the placement of his pacemaker leads. Alongside this, Max also posted a picture of himself asleep in his hospital bed, recovering from the distressing operation.

Providing insight into his ongoing health battle, he wrote:

“A few weeks ago, I had to go back into hospital after having some physical symptoms in my chest. It turned out that one of the leads was placed too far into my heart. The second surgery took about two hours. Luckily, it was a success, and they kindly let me listen to Oasis the whole time!”

Despite the setback, Max remained optimistic, reassuring fans that doctors were closely monitoring his condition:

“I’ve had a few complications over the last couple of months, but I’m having loads of tests to make sure everything is all good. It can take a few weeks or months for the inflammation of my heart to subside (myocarditis), but I’m sure I’ll be back on top form in no time!”

He concluded his message by expressing gratitude for the support he has received:

“Thanks, everyone, for all your lovely messages and support through what’s been a pretty rough time. Means a lot.”

A Painful and Uncertain Recovery

While Max is now on the mend, his recovery has been far from easy. The singer revealed that the complications from his pacemaker procedure left him in agony for weeks. Doctors even warned him that he might never sing again after they performed a lung biopsy to investigate his health concerns further.

Speaking about the frightening experience, he admitted:

“I thought I was on the road to recovery, but when I was told I needed a second operation, I was nervous, as pulling the pacemaker wires out of the heart wall risks bleeding on the heart. I didn’t have a choice, though. I had to have it done.”

Max recalled how he experienced unusual sensations in his chest for weeks after his first procedure. He explained that whenever his heart rate increased, it triggered a shocking, involuntary reaction that left his chest shaking. As the symptoms worsened, doctors determined that the pacemaker wires had been positioned too deep, prompting the need for a second operation.

Reflecting on the night before the procedure, he shared how anxious he felt:

“The night before, I was really nervous, I didn’t sleep much. I was worried it could go wrong again and felt anxious that it could bleed out.”

Fortunately, he had the support of his loved ones. His girlfriend, Strictly Come Dancing star Maisie Smith, and his mother, Babs, were by his side throughout the ordeal. He remained conscious but heavily sedated during the two-hour operation.

What’s Next for Max?

Despite his health setbacks, Max remains hopeful about returning to the stage. He is set to perform alongside fellow Wanted bandmate Siva Kaneswaran in The Wanted 2.0, a continuation of the group following the passing of their bandmate Tom Parker. Additionally, he has plans to star in The War Of The Worlds: The Spirit Of Man theatre tour alongside Maisie.

However, with his recent health concerns, it remains uncertain whether Max will be able to fulfill these commitments. He is currently in close consultation with his doctors to assess when he will be fit to return to performing.

For now, his focus remains on making a full recovery. While his journey has been challenging, Max’s determination and the support of his fans and loved ones continue to give him the strength to push forward.

The singer’s health battle has been a shocking and emotional journey, but his resilience and positive outlook offer hope that he will soon be back to doing what he loves.
