Love Island star Samie Elishi has finally reconnected with her followers after regaining access to her phone, immediately taking to Instagram to share an update with her fans. 

The 25-year-old reality star posted a heartfelt message expressing her gratitude and reflecting on her journey.

Samie enthusiastically announced her return by writing, “Guyssss… I’m finally properly back!!” accompanied by heart hands emojis. 

She went on to share her appreciation for the support she received, particularly in celebration of her recent birthday. 

“I’ve been going through all of your lovely birthday messages from the other day and support. 

It wasn’t the easiest little journey this time round but I wouldn’t change it! What’s for ya won’t go by ya & I’m glad I was 100% true to me throughout.”

Acknowledging the outpouring of kindness from her fans, she added, “I can’t express the love [I have] for all of you kind people out there. I’m reading through every single DM! Can’t wait to show you how special my birthday was this year and what me and the girls have been up to the past week in the sun.”

However, amid the positivity, Samie also took a moment to address the darker side of reality TV fame. She issued a strong plea for online trolls to reconsider their actions, highlighting the damaging impact of cruel messages. To emphasize her point, she shared an image of the late Love Island host Caroline Flack, who tragically passed away in 2020 following struggles with her mental health.

In her post, Samie expressed concern over the level of online abuse directed not only at herself but also at her fellow reality stars. “A beautiful woman was lost due to mental health and I’m seeing some of the vile messages my friends in this industry are receiving (including myself). People are very quick to forget that we are not fictional characters, and you never know what’s going on inside someone’s head and what they are struggling with.”

She urged those sending hateful messages to reconsider their behavior, writing, “Everyone taking time to send these disgusting messages should be ashamed. It’s not too late to apologize and take back your ‘heat of the moment’ comments. Be a better person today.” Samie concluded her statement with a powerful reminder: “In a world where you can be ANYTHING, be KIND. Don’t be naïve and quick to forget how your words impact people’s lives.”

Samie’s Love Island Exit and Reflections on Her Journey

Samie exited the Love Island villa just over a week ago, leaving alongside fellow contestant Danielle Sellers. Her departure came after a dramatic recoupling, during which Luca chose to stay paired with Grace Jackson instead, leaving Samie single.

Following her exit, Samie appeared on the Love Island: The Morning After podcast, where she reflected on her experience and didn’t hold back from throwing a cheeky dig at her former connection, Luca. When asked about her favorite moment on the show, she quipped, “Probably pie-ing Luca,” referencing the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge, in which she playfully hit him with a pie.

Beyond the on-screen drama, Samie also shared that she had a private conversation with Grace to clear the air after the love triangle tension. She explained, “So I had a conversation with Grace and we were fine. But obviously, it was just uncomfortable the whole time.” Despite their differences, the two managed to find common ground away from the cameras.

During the interview, Samie spoke fondly about the friendships she formed in the villa, saying, “I was close with all the girls to be fair.” However, she admitted that Grace was the one person she didn’t connect with on a deeper level, noting, “But the only person I didn’t really gel with one-on-one was Grace. For obvious reasons.”

As for potential romantic connections beyond Luca, Samie confessed that her dating options in the villa were quite limited. “There were slim pickings!” she declared, acknowledging that she hadn’t been particularly interested in pursuing any of the other male contestants.

Now that she’s out of the villa and back in control of her social media, Samie appears focused on enjoying life, cherishing the connections she made, and using her platform to spread positivity.
