Phillip Schofield is reportedly offering his support to Gino D’Acampo following the TV chef’s recent departure from ITV amid misconduct allegations. 

The two have maintained a strong friendship since their time working together on This Morning, where Gino was a regular fixture in the show’s cooking segment.

Now, with Gino facing multiple accusations of inappropriate behavior, Phillip—who lost his own television career in 2023 after admitting to an “unwise, 

but not illegal” relationship with a younger male colleague—is said to be standing by his former co-star. 

Sources claim Schofield has been a listening ear for D’Acampo, as the chef deals with the fallout from ITV cutting ties with him.

Gino D’Acampo’s ITV Exit and the Allegations

Earlier this month, ITV severed ties with Gino following an ITV News investigation that brought forward accusations from more than 40 individuals. The claims, spanning a period of over 12 years, describe behavior that some have labeled “distressing,” “unacceptable,” and “horrendous.”

One woman, referred to as “Hannah” to protect her identity, alleged that during a workplace interaction in 2011, Gino made crude remarks toward her. She claimed he said he would “like to turn me over and f*** me up the a*** against the kitchen counter.” Another former colleague, who worked as a runner at the time, alleged that Gino once told him, “If you don’t get me a Cornetto, I will f*** your girlfriend.”

Despite the serious nature of these accusations, Gino has firmly denied any wrongdoing. In a statement, he expressed his dismay at the allegations, stating:

“I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago. I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognize the version of events being put to me.”

Gino further emphasized that throughout his career, he had worked on approximately 80 productions with more than 1,500 people and had never faced complaints until now.
